Grand Theft Auto VI is less than a year away from release but with Rockstar staying pretty silent about the highly-anticipated title, it is no wonder that fans have started to worry.
However, according to a recent report, development on Grand Theft Auto VI is not only still on track, despite missing some deadlines, but a massive upgrade to Grand Theft Auto Online is also in the works.

Up until now, fans had begun worrying about the future of the anticipated game due to Rockstar having released its first official trailer over a year ago.
With the studio remaining radio silent since then, it is no wonder that its future was looking uncertain.
However, it seems as though all of our worrying was in vain as alongside development still being on track, Rockstar is working on a “significant” revamp for GTA Online.
There is no denying that GTA Online is as popular today as it was back when Grand Theft Auto V was released thanks to its dedicated roleplaying playerbase.

With players still in the hundreds of thousands, it is no surprise that Rockstar wishes to continue capitalising on this.
According to Schreier, Grand Theft Auto VI “will feature a significant online mode” which Rockstar aims to update with content for years into the future.
As of now, fans are eager to see the second official trailer for GTA VI, but it seems as though the studio is in no rush to show us more of our brand-new protagonists and a modern-day Vice City.
However, it is reassuring to know that despite missing “multiple deadlines”, development is still on track and we could have GTA VI in our hands in less than a year.
