There’s nothing as satisfying as being able to purchase a game without needing a parent to vouch for us. For GTA fans, many of whom were children when they first started playing GTA, they're relishing the fact that they’re now legally old enough to buy the game.
It sounds like such a trivial milestone to celebrate, yet it’s one that much of the GTA fandom are hyped about.
Of course, some of us are as wizened as an old oak tree, meaning being legally of age has no bearing on our enjoyment. That being said, we’re still going to celebrate alongside you younger gamers, if for nothing other than a quick recapturing of our now deceased youth.

“It’s so strange to think that I started playing GTA when I was eight and it is still my favourite game,” said one player.
Another gamer remarked on how old they’ll be when the next GTA launches; it’s a glimpse into a bleak future none of us wanted reminding of. “What’s even more strange to me is that, if the current trend continues, I’ll be over 40 when the next one comes out,” said Osstj7737 on Reddit.
In the spirit of celebration, don't forget to give the GTA VI trailer another watch.
GTA VI is set to take over many gamers’ lives once it launches. In fact, some would joke that it already has, such is the hype surrounding this long-awaited title. With a map rumoured to be bigger and more ambitious than we’d expected, as well as a leaked mini game that’s already pleasing fans, there’s a lot of reasons to suffer the arduous wait until its launch.

Still, while it’ll likely be worth the wait – otherwise Rockstar Games will need to go into hiding – some of us are realising that GTA VI could be our penultimate GTA game. As one player explained, “The craziest thing is that GTA VII could be our last GTA.”
And with that, I leave you with the bitter-sweet comfort that although most of us are now old enough to buy GTA VI, the sands of time are forever escaping through our fingers.
