We can only hope that GTA VI will arrive this year - Rockstar Games has said it will but, of course, anything can happen to delay it.
Until an official release date is revealed, it’s still possible that GTA VI could get a delay, claims an ex Rockstar Games developer.
It has been a long time since the first trailer for GTA VI dropped.
Discussing the highly anticipated game over on Twitter, Obbe Vermeij noted that these decisions are sometimes made just a few months before the intended release date.

He explains, “The decision to delay GTA IV was made four months or so before the original release date. Any further, and it's hard to make the call. R* is probably not in a position to determine whether they will hit 2025 until May-ish.”
The studio is currently working hard on polishing the game and getting it ready for players, though the absence of a second trailer has had some fans concerned for a while.
Of course, Rockstar Games may not be eager to show off the second trailer as yet because the word of mouth around the game is doing the marketing work for them.
Vermeij continued to talk about the upcoming release, saying the team has nothing to worry about - “GTA VI will sell for 10+ years and there is no competition to worry about. They are not going to release the game until they're 100% happy with it. No matter what it said in the trailer.”

Throughout the thread that sprawls after the initial comments, with fans asking the developer a bunch of questions about his time at Rockstar Games, Vermeij did touch on the future PC release.
When a fan said they’d be waiting ages for a PC release, the developer said, “2027 for you, I'm afraid.”
Of course, he doesn’t have any inside information, according to his statement, but that timeframe wouldn’t be too far off of current predictions.
