It’s time to put GTA VI on the back burner for the moment, as GTA V is set to get a considerable sized update later this year.
The GTA fandom is in need of a win right about now.
All the hype surrounding that elusive GTA VI trailer demonstrates what Rockstar Games has done to its fans.

They’re desperate for the tiniest morsel of information about that second trailer, to the point that we prepare ourselves for disappointment on a daily basis.
Time to gather around and watch the same GTA VI trailer for the hundredth time
Something has got to give.

While it’s not the second trailer, at least not yet, an insider has teased a major October update for GTA V.
Apparently, the popular multiplayer role-playing server, FiveM, is coming to the console version of the title.
Furthermore, this move will act as a “test” for “FiveM on GTA VI”.
It would be a massive boon to the fandom, of that there’s no doubt, however, not everyone is convinced such an update is happening.

After all that’s happened, we can forgive GTA fans for being a sceptical bunch.
On Twitter, fans felt sure they were being trolled.
Over on Reddit, the disbelief and doubt continued.
“Highly, highly sceptical this is true. Maybe for a modded console or a proof of concept, but I don't see Rockstar allowing it for everyone,” commented atony1400, before saying such a decision would be “shocking”.

Most players are in agreement, yet is this news really that farfetched?
User itsRobbie_ said, “Ehhhhh I don’t know. Maybe not, but it’s not that farfetched. I've been assuming they bought FiveM to incorporate it into the base game for GTA VI.
“FiveM devs have confirmed in their Discord at the beginning of the year that they will NOT be making a FiveM for GTA VI, which is a very big indication of this happening imo.”
Are we all being delusional at this point, or is something big finally going to happen?

All we want is answers, if Rockstar could be so kind.
