Grand Theft Auto V may have originally been released in 2013, but that hasn't stopped Rockstar Games from supporting it with a wealth of constant content.
Well, Rockstar Games actually stopped supporting the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of GTA Online from 2013, and understandably so. The current versions of GTA Online, which are bundled with GTA V, are great benefactors of awesome content. Though it’s a shame that Red Dead Online hasn't received the same kind of treatment. Granted, it still has events such as the recent Halloween update, but nothing to the substantial level of its GTA counterpart.

Speaking of Halloween, GTA Online has just received a spooktacular event of its own with ‘Halloween Horrors’, muhahaha! Rockstar Games’ hair-raising event brings bonus GTA$ and double rewards on Adversary and Survival modes. Players will be able to take advantage of double GTA$ and RP by taking on Special Cargo Sell Missions.

Oh, and on Judgement Day, we’ll get triple rewards! That’s assuming we’re still alive to claim our winnings. Some of the Halloween-themed modes include killer clowns, aliens, slashers and worse, FIB agents! If you’re unfortunate enough, you may even encounter some paranormal activity.
What’s more, if you log in at any point to GTA Online during the Halloween Horrors event, you will be able to claim the Scarlet Vintage Devil Mask. Players will also be able to take advantage of 40% discounts on select vehicles as well as Special Cargo Warehouses.
Finally, if you subscribe to GTA+, you will also benefit from: “Free Bravado Hotring Hellfire, Double GTA$ and RP on Assault on Cayo Perico, Free Clothing, access to play additional Rockstar Games titles including Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and more.”

The Halloween update will download the moment you boot up GTA V/GTA Online with an internet connection. That’s unless you’ve already activated auto-update in sleep mode, in which case, you should be good to go.
GTA V and GTA Online are out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It's sequel, GTA VI, is expected to have a release date between 2024 to 2025.
