Grand Theft Auto fans can nab themselves a nice little freebie right now

Even with the upcoming arrival of GTA VI, Grand Theft Auto V is the gift that keeps on giving as indicated by the next free event announced by Rockstar Games.

When GTA V was first released in 2013, it quickly became one of the biggest franchises in all of entertainment and not just video games. As the years passed by, GTA V would be released on the next console generations growing bigger when each new launch.

Alongside the continued growth of Grand Theft Auto V has been its multiplayer offering, GTA Online, which continues to make Rockstar Games all the money in the world thanks to its Shark Card in-game currency purchases and its free events. The latest event is the ‘4/20’ week which begins tomorrow 24 April.

"A cloud of pungent smoke hangs over Southern San Andreas. Keep the locals lifted by supplying Street Dealers, offloading high-grade product to buyers in Biker Sell Missions, and helping Lamar Davis set up LD Organics in Short Trips — all for Double Rewards through April 24," reads the description on RockstarGames.com for the latest free event.

So if you want make loads of in-game money in the process, and acquire free content in GTA Online, the latest event that kicks off this week offers that perfect opportunity.

What’s more, you’ll also be gifted with the free in-game ‘Coil Earth Day’ t-shirt for your avatar to proudly announce their eco-warrior status to your fellow GTA Online criminals. All you have to do to claim the free in-game t-shirt is log into GTA Online at any point this week during the ‘4/20’ week event.

GTA V and GTA Online are out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. As for GTA VI, it will be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
