The Ghost of Tsushima film is starting to finally see some progress. The film's director, Chad Stahelski, has recently been talking more on the project to give fans a bit of a tease.
The John Wick director, who will be helming Ghost of Tsushima told Screen Rant that they have a script written and they are "getting their s**t together" on the project.
Ghost of Tsushima has garnered millions of fans who will be eagerly awaiting the film
In the interview Stahelski said "We have a script, we're very close to getting our s--t together on that, as well. Development is always tricky, it's studios, it's strikes, and availabilities, and scouting. You have to will things into existence." Of course, as the SAG-Aftra strike is still ongoing, the project can't move past the writing stage and into full-scale production.

The director is also working on a Highlander reboot and it's hard to know which of the two films will be his next project. Sony has been impressing audiences for years with their games and have only recently started making more waves in the land of film and TV. This is due to the larger budgets which have been able to secure great talent in front of, and behind, the camera.
Ghost of Tsushima was already a very cinematic piece of entertainment that used sweeping vistas of feudal Japan and artistic flourishes within its sword fighting and action moments. It seems like a no-brainer for film and will surely see success, whenever it comes to cinemas.
As for the game, since the Director's Cut came out we've heard little about the sequel which has been bandied about. All we really know is that Sucker Punch, the game's developers, were hoping to target 2025 for the sequel, which seems like a safe bet right now.
