Ghost Of Tsushima live-action movie has the perfect Jin Sakai cast already

Ghost Of Tsushima live-action movie has the perfect Jin Sakai cast already

They're the only real choice

When it comes to casting the right actor to play Ghost of Tsushima’s Jin Sakai in the live-action movie, the perfect choice already exists.

A Ghost of Tsushima film is coming, that much we know, but beyond that it’s mainly insider speculation and wishful thinking from fans.

One of the last “updates” we received was that a Shogun star was being cast in the film. However, whether this has come to fruition is anyone’s guess; IMDb lists no cast at the moment.

We also know that Jin Sakai’s actor would love to reprise his role in the adaptation, which brings us to the ideal Jin casting.

Daisuke Tsuji is the obvious choice here.

Not just because he’s voiced interest in playing Jin again, but also because, for continuity and authenticity, it makes the most sense.

Although gamers aren’t well known for harmoniously agreeing, when it comes to casting the live-action Jin, they all want the same man for the job.

There’s also the fact that Tsuji himself is extremely eager for this to happen – so much so that he recently tweeted that he’d do “butt nudity” if he was cast.

Such dedication to his craft shouldn’t go unrewarded.

Twitter user TheColeBrew was among the first to respond to Tsuji’s tweet saying, “Alright let's get this man the role. Share to the heavens.”

And share the fans have.

At the time of writing this, the original tweet has 2.3K retweets. It's a modest but decent number, we think you’ll agree.

“Don't you threaten us with a good time,” quipped another user worried that they’ll never get to see Tsuji’s behind.

It’s a fear we now all share.

Even without the promise of nudity, Tsuji and the rest of the Ghost of Tsushima cast should be allowed to continue their work so that they can deliver the very best adaptation.

In the words of James Jach,” If you don't get the role there is something wrong with the castings.”

Few, if anyone, can argue with that.
