Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is quite simply spectacular. That’s a statement that I’m sure we can all agree on.
GAMINGbible’s Dan awarded Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a perfect score of 10, writing, “As I rolled the credits, I realised this was exactly the game I’ve wanted to play since I was 17 years old, it’s playing one of my favourite games all over again, experiencing everything fresh - and loving it just as much as I did over two decades ago.”
There’s so much to adore about this remake from its evolved story to its jam-packed open world filled with wonderful characters and wholly unexpected side activities.

As such, I think we’re all eagerly counting down to the next (and final) instalment in the trilogy - whatever that might be called.
Of course, we have our theories about that.
It looks though as if Final Fantasy fans are in for yet another remake treat beyond the upcoming Part 3. Square Enix’s Yoshi-P may be teasing a Final Fantasy IX remake.
Take a look at our review of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth below.
Yoshi-P took to the stage at PAX East 2024 to announce several updates for Final Fantasy XIV, namely relating to the upcoming Dawntrail expansion.

Dawntrail is set to launch on 28 June, with Yoshi-P noting that Shadow of the Erdtree’s release the week prior led to a minor release date shift.
Alongside the announcement of the launch date, I want to draw your attention to two in-game items that come with Dawntrail’s collector’s edition.
Zidane and Garnet, Final Fantasy IX’s main characters, will be usable in Final Fantasy XIV as wind-up minions.
We first heard that a Final Fantasy IX remake was in the works back in 2021 following a major leak from NVIDIA but Square Enix has otherwise kept its cards close to its chest.

Yoshi-P knew we’d jump to conclusions. As reported by TweakTown, “You may have noticed a lot of Final Fantasy IX references here, but the reason is a secret,” he said.
Final Fantasy fans continue to feast well, it seems.
