P.T. is an iconic horror title - one which many consider to be among the scariest ever made - and yet, it’s so hard to get your hands on. The demo was removed from the PlayStation Store back in 2015, prompting people to list PlayStation 4 consoles with P.T. installed on them on eBay for upwards of $1,000. Yikes.
Unfortunately, P.T. has never been made playable on the PlayStation 5 although one PS5 user did gain access earlier this year by jailbreaking their console. Why is P.T. so magical when it’s essentially a Silent Hill demo? Well, it’s a team up between Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro - two of the greatest creative minds. There are no signs that P.T. will be making a comeback but horror fans have discovered a brand new game that could fill the P.T. shaped hole in your life, Left to Rot.
Check out the trailer for Left to Rot below.
As reported by GamesRadar+, Left to Rot is an upcoming first-person psychological horror game from indie studio Galactic Crows. Set to launch next year, people have been pointing out how the VHS themed horror is giving them major P.T. vibes. The trailer sees the player wander round a dimly lit house which, of course, isn’t empty. Creepy corpses manifest out of nowhere so if you like your jump scares, you’re in luck.

The official Steam synopsis reads: “Left to Rot is a first-person psychological horror with a heavy focus on exploration and immersion that will leave your blood running cold. The player must watch the cursed VHS tapes and find out the darkest secrets. Each tape has it's unique storyline and events.” Well that certainly sounds unsettling.
This is a project that I personally am far too scared to play but P.T. fans, you should definitely keep an eye out. Left to Rot is available to wishlist now ahead of its 2023 launch.
