Fallout’s resurgence in popularity continues. The question is: How long will it last?
Prime Video’s Fallout is a colossal success in more ways than one. Yes, it’s a stellar adaptation but you have to look at what it’s done for the franchise.
In the days succeeding the premiere of the show, Bethesda announced that Fallout games had seen an influx of more than 5,000,000 players.

Fallout 4 has benefitted from this surge the most but even the once-ridiculed Fallout 76 welcomed in over 1,000,000 players.
It helps that Fallout 4 recently launched its new-gen update. Fair to say that it included a few more bugs than perhaps players would’ve liked but a new patch has just dropped to rectify a series of these.
The problem is that Fallout 5 is years away from release with Bethesda hard at work on Starfield’s post-launch content and The Elder Scrolls VI.
This current hype will likely dwindle long before Fallout 5 arrives, providing Bethesda with somewhat of a predicament.

It’ll be interesting to see how that’s handled but in the meantime, let’s enjoy this renewed interest - specifically today by highlighting a very cool fan project.
We played snog, marry, irradiate with the cast of Fallout. Take a look below.
I’m talking about the Fallout Mapping Project. This is the work of Twitter user Tunnelsnakefool who is essentially placing the Fallout franchise’s various maps over the top of the real life USA to give fans an idea of the scale of the series.

This includes the approximate location of all of the series’ major vaults and if you’re a US citizen, I’m imagining it’s great fun to see which locales you’d theoretically be near.
It’s a work in progress with the creator in the midst of adding Fallout 3’s map. It’ll be very exciting to see the full and final finished product.
Tunnelsnakefool has also added that eventually, they’d like to map out the journeys of certain characters.

It’s a very commendable project, worth keeping an eye on.
