Fallout: London move over, we’ve got a proper British Fallout game on our hands now.
Atomfall, a survival action game from developers Rebellion, had a brand new trailer to show off at Gamescom yesterday, and it’s immediately shot up on my list of games to look forward to in 2025 as a result.
A new Mafia game has been announced! Check out the trailer for Mafia: The Old Country below

But don’t worry, even if you’re not at Gamescom you can still watch the trailer for yourself here.
Atomfall is set in the North of England, if the impossible to understand accents in the trailer didn’t give that away already. For those outside of the UK who may be unfamiliar with the setting, the real North is sort of like the North in Game of Thrones except colder.
The developer and publisher Rebellion is also located in England, which is probably why the tongue-in-cheek humour in the trailer comes off so well. Nobody makes fun of the English better than the English.
Rebellion is also the studio behind every Sniper Elite game ever made, the recent Rogue Trooper remaster, Strange Brigade, and uh… Rogue Warrior? One of the best so bad it’s good video games ever made? Alright, I’m pre-ordering Atomfall immediately.

The Steam page for the game says that Atomfall “will see you explore, scavenge, craft, barter and fight your way through beautifully recreated scenery in search of answers” after a “nuclear disaster has left an area of Britain in tatters”.
A “nuclear disaster” is a pretty apt way to describe the last 14 years of Tory govermen– oh they mean an actual nuclear disaster, never mind.
Atomfall is set to drop sometime in March 2025 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass on its first day of release.
