New free Fallout RPG hailed by fans as best Fallout we've had in years

Fans are loving it

The latest Fallout release, a huge fan-made mod called Fallout London, is getting rave reviews from fans across the internet, with some hailing it as the best Fallout for decades.

Of course, this comes with a caveat, as the mod performs pretty badly at the moment, with lots of bugs and crashes, but those who are persevering are thrilled with everything they’re seeing.

Fallout 76 is getting an official expansion later this year that allows playing as a ghoul

The mod had been in development for years and many believed it would never see the light of day.

On Reddit, one enthused fan writes, “It is worth the wait, and captures the essence of the Fallout franchise with grace and skill, all neatly packaged under a new flag.”

This is backed up by Nisseliten who says “I completely agree, and despite the bugs I’d rank the play experience higher than the original F4.”

Fallout is loved by many, but it has been almost a decade since the last official game was released. Fans have been clamouring for something new and it seems Fallout London is scratching the itch.

According to a lot of fans the mod does a great job of filling in that gap, as Fragrant_Ad_1775 says, “It captures that feeling I’ve been chasing.”

The mod team behind the new release has discussed the issues upon launch and is hoping to fix the problems that many are facing, which includes long load times and game crashing.

However, despite the size of their team, they have no official QA and are relying on fans to remember that this is a mod, and they can only do so much.

As 447irradiatedhobos say in their comment, “I sincerely hope they do manage to smooth out performance with a patch; the game is awesome when it’s working.”

You can insert your own joke about Bethesda delivering games full of bugs if you’d like.
