When it comes to epic and immersive RPGs, few do it quite as well as Bethesda blessing us with some truly epic adventures over the years in the likes of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
Take for example, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, an action RPG so packed with quests, hidden dungeons and interesting NPCs, that players are still making discoveries well over a decade since its initial launch in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. What’s more, other Bethesda titles such as Fallout 4 are no exception.

“As the sole survivor of Vault 111, you enter a world destroyed by nuclear war. Every second is a fight for survival, and every choice is yours. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland. Welcome home,” reads the description of Fallout 4.

Lately, Fallout 4 has benefited from a massive player spike thanks to the free next-gen update and the popularity of the live-action Amazon Prime Video series. So it makes sense that players will also be sharing their recent experiences with fellow vault dwellers.
“Why is Preston Garvey dead here and alive at home? Is he a synth or something?” asked Redditor Strange_Ad4922. Those who are familiar with Fallout 4 will also be very familiar with Preston Garvey, an officer of the Commonwealth Minutemen and an NPC that you meet very early in the campaign.
This Redditor asks a good question. How can his dead body be found in the sewers but yet seemingly alive and well at the Sanctuary? Thankfully, fellow members on the thread were willing to provide the answers needed to this conundrum.

“Good news everyone! You found fake Preston Garvey,” revealed deannielsen2. However, this information was followed with the bad news that given that this fake Preston is dead, it means that the player can’t access secret dialogue which may lead to further discoveries.
“I've played this game for close to 2000 hours and I never once came across fake Preston. Guess it's time for 2000 more,” replied ZappBrannigansburner. Yet, xRolocker also commented that oddly, if the real Preston and fake Preston encounter each other, they won't even acknowledge each other.
Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Fallout 4 is also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
