Fallout 4 fans horrified by hidden Ghoul boss we've never seen before

Fallout 4 fans horrified by hidden Ghoul boss we've never seen before

What in the wasteland is this?

Fallout 4 fans are horrified and puzzled at a hidden ghoul boss that was seemingly cut from the game and it looked like it could have been so awesome.

Bethesda first released Fallout 4 in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, this year, it benefited from its long-awaited free new-gen update which brought improved visuals and performance for eager post-apocalyptic wasteland explorers.

With a game as huge as Fallout 4 with an immersive open world full of interesting NPCs that may or may not want to kill you and hidden caverns with precious loot waiting to be discovered, it makes sense that players are still finding cool things to share with the community.

One such discovery is a giant ghoul that according to some Reddit members, was removed from the release of Fallout 4 nearly a decade ago. “Why did they cut this from Fallout 4?” asked Redditor Sensitive_Farmer_228.

“Possibly its hitbox, navigating, and other mechanical issues, not feeling that original as an enemy goes, also possibly unsure just how a ghoul grew so huge to begin with,” suggested KenseiHimura.

“Mostly balancing. Plus, how would the fight against that thing go? Where would it fit on the map? It would have to have its own arena somewhere. No way it would've been a random encounter” replied tai-kaliso97.

“They didn’t cut it, it was never planned,” explained CeltoIberian. “It was basically just the devs messing around with the engine to see how large enemies interact with the game world.”

Judging by how imposing the super ghoul appears to be, if it’s not happened already, it wouldn't surprise me if it's modded into Fallout 4 in the very near future.

Fallout 4 is available now to subscribers of Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost and it’s currently included with the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers.
