Happy two-week anniversary to Elden Ring! It’s the game that’s absolutely dominating the internet at the minute, and whether or not you’re already well and truly sucked in to the Lands Between, or have been merely observing from the sidelines as a curious, but slightly terrified onlooker, it seems pretty clear at this point that there’s a very good chance we’re already looking at 2022’s greatest release.
It goes without saying, though, that the game is a bit hard. Very, in fact. In a title which boasts about its lack of easy mode and pause button (although there is still a secret way to pause, as it happens), it’s not at all surprising that some players have been struggling a bit. But, gamers are a very adaptable and quick-learning bunch, and have discovered an amazing Rune-farming spot, where you can easily grab over 11K Runes from a single enemy, without even having to fight it. What's more, it's right beside a fast-travel-ready Site of Grace, so you can repeat the action as much as you want to build up your Runes and then teleport out of a dangerous area. Nice.
Check out how to do it in the video below...
Now, there's a small catch to this method - first-timers will have to overcome a tricky boss, and there are a few other hoops to jump through to even reach this spot, involving some side-questing. It's all explained in the video above. But once you're where you need to be, bow in hand, the rewards can flow as readily as you're willing to let them. It's not cheating! Right?

Obviously, learning the movements of bosses and putting together solid strategies for taking down enemies is always going to be the way to really succeed - but if you need a boost, then doing a bit of Rune-grinding is a surefire way to help get the upper hand. As well as being able to spend them on items from merchants, you can, of course, use them to increase your main stats, which in turn, will raise your overall level. So, even if you’re not necessarily stuck, but just want to see those numbers get bigger (I won’t judge you if it’s just for bragging rights), then this is a really efficient way to do so.
As for other ways to up your game, there’s a plethora of different builds you can try, including one which requires you to be totally naked. Your character, that is, not you personally. With the help of the Blue Dancer’s Charm, your attack power increases the lower equipment load you have, which means you can max out its effect by wearing nothing at all, and fell enemies in nothing but your birthday suit. Because video games.
