How close are we to the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree? Honestly, who knows? FromSoftware appeared, dropped the news, and then closed the door again, leaving us all out in the cold and praying for news.
This is why, whenever the game gets an update or even a mention, fans clamour for more and get their hopes up. Well, you won’t catch us getting all foamed at the mouth with excitement, at all. Not us. But really, when is the DLC coming out?
Come on, manifest the DLC launch date with us
So, Elden Ring just got a new update. This follows on from an update last month that updated its ‘DLC category’. The newest update apparently revealed that it’s in the quality assessment’ phase, quickly followed by a financial update call by FromSoftware’s parent company Kodokawa, who said the DLC is still in development but doesn’t have a release date.
Advert
Well, that hasn’t stopped us from getting hot under the collar. Given the game is coming up to its second anniversary, we could be seeing something happen, even if it’s just a confirmation of a release date. However, some fans believe the DLC will actually launch this month to celebrate.
A new component has been added to the Elden Ring game page called “Unknown App 2778580.” This is all speculation and should be taken with a pinch of salt, however, this “Unknown App 2778580” is listed under the ‘paid’ section of the game’s page, meaning it isn’t a free update, so it could point to Shadow of the Erdtree.
Let’s hope we get some official confirmation soon as we’re hankering for more time with Elden Ring after replaying it several times over. FromSoftware could solve all of this with just one tweet, so we’ll be manifesting an announcement with a conjuring circle for the rest of February.
