What is it you look for in a game?
Something that’s relaxing and cosy perhaps, to unwind with at the end of a stressful day?
Maybe you enjoy a multiplayer title, something that allows you to catch up and stay in touch with far-flung friends?

What about a game with punishing combat that really tests your skill, not to be taken on by the faint of heart?
If that last category is your cup of tea, you’re going to want to listen to what I have to say next.
Last night’s The Game Awards was jam-packed to the rafters with unbelievable reveals.
I’ve been covering this event for several years now and usually come away disappointed, but not this year.

We received our first trailer for The Witcher 4, the reveal of a new Naughty Dog IP, the announcement of a new Elden Ring game … and those are just a few of the night’s headliners.
Nestled between those trailers was an update on the very exciting The First Berserker: Khazan, with the Russo Brothers of Marvel fame presenting viewers with a thrilling updated look via the game’s release date trailer.
Take a look at the game in action below.
Yes, The First Berserker: Khazan has a release date - it’s set to land on 27 March 2025 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

This is a hardcore-action RPG, perfect for fans of FromSoftware titles like Elden Ring and Bloodborne, although many fans have pointed out that there’s a God of War feel too thanks to the main character’s hulking movements.
“The game unfolds on the continent of Arad and explores the untold story of Khazan, the first Berserker,” the synopsis reads.
“Players will experience Khazan's legendary journey firsthand as they master intricate and engaging combat mechanics and strategic battles that bring his epic tale to life.”
“In the 89th year of the Pell Los Empire, the Great General Khazan is falsely accused of treason and banished to the snowy mountains. Having narrowly escaped death, Khazan embarks on a quest for vengeance. Witness his growth as he uncovers the conspiracies that led to his downfall, masters lost combat skills, and unveils the truth about the empire.”

It looks pretty epic, and I’m not the only one who thinks so.
“Best trailer/cinematic from the entire Game Awards show,” said one YouTube viewer.
“Gonna be a classic,” added another.
With that March release not too far away, this is one to keep an eye on.
