FromSoftware fans who haven't their asses truly kicked by a game in a while might want to cast their eyes towards a new action RPG that's set for release later this year.
AI Limit looks like a winning blend of Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring, giving players a dystopian sci-fi world to explore while fighting through powerful enemies and fearsome bosses.
"In the distant future when civilization is on the verge of extinction, people follow the legend of the Elysium in the last city, Havenswell," teases AI Limit's synopsis. "In this post-apocalyptic wasteland sci-fi ARPG, you will play as Arrisa, a Blader with immortality, and explore the city ruin to find the hope of a new life.

"You will step into the last city of mankind - Havenswell, exploring cold and damp sewers, layers of slums, sky city above the lake, etc., seeking the truth about the destruction of civilization in monster-infested ruins. Travel through wonders, face mysterious and deadly enemies, and put an end to an eerie and desperate history."
While AI Limit's combat is clearly inspired by the likes of Dark Souls and Elden Ring, it has a gorgeous washed-out cel-shaded aesthetic that's quite unlike anything we've seen in any FromSoftware game. Just as well, given we live in a world filled with Dark Souls clones at this point, and in this day and age you really need to be bringing something a little extra to the table to stand out.
I reckon the world and look of AI Limit is definitely enough to help it get noticed, so here's hoping it plays as good as it looks. There's no solid release date just yet, but the game's Steam page confirms developer Sense Games is aiming to launch this year. We'll update you as soon as we hear more.
