If you thought Cyberpunk 2077’s location of Night City couldn't get any more immersive than it already is, then think again because a free update arriving later this month is about to take immersion to a new level.
Cyberpunk 2077 was initially released in December 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but to say that its launch didn't go according to plan would be an understatement. Cyberpunk 2077 was so buggy at launch, especially on console, that Sony pulled it from sale via its PlayStation Store only for it to return several months later.

Yet, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty much the sci-fi RPG that we were promised all those years ago which has been on an upward trajectory since the launch of the free new-gen update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in February 2022. The experience of Cyberpunk 2077 was enhanced further with the arrival of its long-awaited expansion Phantom Liberty in 2023.

It was recently stated that major content support for Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to an end with developer CD Projekt RED shifting its focus to not only the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel but also The Witcher 4. However, if you thought the content support was ending immediately, then think again.
As reported by PCGamesN, on Thursday 20 June, players can take advantage of the ‘Immerse Spatial Audio’ update that’s arriving on PC and judging by the demo trailer above, it’s going to be a delight for the headset-wearing gamers in mind. “After hearing the way our game sounds with Immerse, I can’t go back,” said Cyberpunk 2077 lead sound designer, Krzysztof Popiel.
So if this upcoming update sounds like your cup of tea, get your headsets at the ready because Night City is about to sound better than ever. Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
