For a while there nobody was really convinced that The Day Before was an actual game, let alone that it would release soon. The game has been mired in controversy for some time now causing fans to worry that the game might not even be real after they created a trailer that 'borrowed' footage from a Call of Duty trailer.
However, a trailer has dropped and the game is heading into Steam Early Access 7 December. Unfortunately for some, it won't be coming to console. Yet.
Since the announcement, players got very excited for a new survival game
It's bad news then for console players as the game has been delayed, yet again, for Xbox and PlayStation owners. The game will be available on Steam via Early Access at a discounted price.

The Day Before has gotten into hot water with fans several times, usually due to broken promises, but also thanks to a bizarre trademark issue. It became such a contentious subject that many stopped believing the game was even real, thinking that we'd perhaps never see it released. Apparently it is real.
Developers have commented that the trademark issue won't delay the game further and it will make its 2023 release window, finally. Console players no longer have a release window as the game is delayed "indefinitely."
The Day Before is a survival, zombie pandemic, extraction shooter (quite a mouthful) and features crafting, home decor, realistic weapons, car transport and secure storage for valuable weapons. The game hopes to tap into the chokehold that Escape from Tarkov has on survival shooters as the two have been compared constantly since the game's reveal.
Whether the game delivers on its promises is yet to be seen and whether they managed to keep their potential fanbase will be seen upon release. Have they burned too many bridges?
