breaking news
There it is. We knew it was coming, but it doesn’t make it any less exciting - we just got our first actual trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. One that isn’t just logos, release dates or Pete Davidson, that is. We’re in proper trailer territory, baby.
It’s pretty short and sweet, but gives us our first look at some of the characters we can expect to see, as well as some of the locations in the game. It’s all very exciting stuff anyway - take a look for yourself below.

Beyond the cool visuals though is some fantastic news which seems to confirm an earlier leak. An open-beta is coming soon, so you’ll be able to try the game out for yourself ahead of the full release on 28 October.
Advert
In order to get your hands on beta access, all you’ll need to do is preorder the game. According to the aforementioned leak, which also claimed that three different editions of the game are apparently going to be available to buy (Standard, Cross-Gen Bundle and Vault), it doesn’t matter what edition you preorder - anyone who does will reportedly get beta access. It's not currently confirmed when this will become available, though, but hopefully it won't be too long away. Exciting stuff, anyway.
With the game’s release creeping right up (just over four months to go now), and the open-beta certainly coming even sooner, we probably won’t be waiting too much longer until to feast our eyes on even more action. There’s been rumours of the game including a map-editor for the first time in the series’ history, which would be immensely cool - we’ll just have to watch this space. It’s time to get hyped.
