Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ mode is now safe from its irritating change in season two that would result in players' progress being wiped.
For whatever reason, it seems to be a bit of a trend for live-service shooters to wipe player progress at certain points. I used to be a very devoted Destiny player, however, there are only so many times that I can reclaim Gjallarhorn.

There are times when I get why total wipes are necessary, but sometimes it can feel really disheartened knowing that hours of grinding could be meaningless. One such occasion is Warzone 2 with players' progression being wiped from the DMZ mode for season two.

Fans let their feelings be known across social media, and those pleas have now been heard. As reported by GGRecon, players were set to lose all progression as well as any key items obtained from DMZ. So if you had grinded to obtain guns such as the TAQ-56, the Fennec 45 or the Victus XMR, then you’re outta luck!
Thankfully, developers, Infinity Ward has now confirmed that your favourite weapons will be saved. Yet, there is a catch. Players' weapons will be safe from the wipe if placed in the Insured Weapon slots.

While your Insured weapons will be saved, progress and other key items will be wiped for season two. However, as mentioned by GGRecon, items such as armour plates and backpacks are being removed from Warzone 2 anyway. That being said, the fact that your favourite weapons can at least be saved, has to be a big win for the community.
Season two of Warzone 2 was initially set to launch on 1st February. However, season two suffered a small delay pushing it back to 15th February. So at least you have a couple more weeks to get that precious DMZ loot before its gone.
