In the flurry of the launch of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II, you'd be forgiven for forgetting that Warzone 2 is still waiting in the wings. Well, we won't tell anyone if you don't, and we do now know the confirmed size of the lobbies in the sequel.
While the original Call Of Duty: Warzone came out with an cosmically successful release back in 2020, developer Infinity Ward isn't willing to tread the same ground, but shinier this time, in the next version.
"We need to innovate and we need to make something that’s absolutely disruptive and better in every single way," explained co-studio head Patrick Kelly in an interview with The Washington Post in September. "We’ve gone across the board on it… We’ve changed up how you move. We’ve changed up how the gun feels. We’ve connected the player camera to the player body, the player body to the gun."

Interestingly then, it has been spotted that the lobby size for the sequel is just the same as the original game. As per this report from Dexerto, a limit of 150 players was seen in an early access creator event hosted yesterday, and apparently applies to every type of battle royale mode within the game on release.
It is worth noting that this might not be set in stone, but, it might be an idea to keep some things the same in Warzone 2 to anchor new and veteran players in the major changes that the game will be seeing.

Kelly also mentioned additions like new matchmaking systems, more realistic vehicles that will run out of fuel and spin out if it gets a flat tyre, multiple closing circles and an ability to revive members of enemy teams. Curiouser and curiouser, so we'll keep you in the loop as soon as we learn more about Warzone 2.
