Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's first free download has already arrived

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's first free download has already arrived

A freebie already? They shouldn't have!

What a week it’s been for the Call of Duty fandom. First, you get the Black Ops 6 announcement, and now there’s a free download available.

Maybe it wasn’t a surprise for long-time fans when Activision dropped the first Black Ops 6 teaser. Still, it had the desire effect: the fandom got seriously hyped.

Then, as if the excitement wasn’t palpable enough, we learned of the new setting in yet another teaser.

Watch the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 trailer now.

In short, Activision has been busy.

And its dedication to marketing this game isn’t showing signs of slowing down, as there’s now a reward to thank players for sticking around through the good, the bad, and the ugly of the franchise.

Before you get your hopes up that this free download is something substantial, we’re sorry to say that’s not going to happen.

What you’ll get is a Black Ops 6 Calling Card.

If you’re underwhelmed by that reward, know that it’s only the first of what we assume will be many as we draw closer to the game’s release.

What is more, it won’t take much of your time to unlock this download – just head to Twitter and tweet “#BlackOps6” in response to a Call of Duty post about the new game.

Because we’re nice, you’ll see the post embedded below to make the process even easier.

You’ll know if you do it correctly because the CoD team will respond announcing you’re now the proud owner of the digital card.

What a rush!

Despite the questionable release of Modern Warfare III, Black Ops fans are incredibly thrilled by the prospect of a new game.

“We are so back. Finally, another masterpiece like all the Black Ops games (minus 4 maybe),” commented @L_RobLight.

Many other fans share that “we’re back” sentiment; we just hope the new title lives up to their expectations.
