Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 opened the event at the Xbox Games Showcase with an epic new campaign trailer, and it looks to be a treat for fans of the series.
The trailer was as high octane as fans of the Call of Duty series would expect with the story being inspired by US government conspiracy and the Gulf War. It was also benefiting from the epic 'Fire Starter' from The Prodigy.
Check out the Black Ops 6 campaign trailer below!
"While the Gulf War commands the global spotlight, a shadowy clandestine force has infiltrated the highest levels of theCIA, branding anyone who resists as traitors. Exiled from their agency and country that once hailed them as heroes, Black Ops veteran Frank Woods and his team find themselves hunted by the military machine that created them," reads the description of the game.

The trailer gave us a glimpse at the single-player campaign and Xbox chief Phil Spencer confirmed on stage that there will be an open beta for all platforms. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be multi-format and it will launch day on on Xbox Game Pass.
Details also dropped for its multiplayer modes, which is always a popular choice with fans. Black Ops 6 will have 16 multiplayer maps at launch which includes 12 6v6 maps and four Strike maps, the latter of which can be played as 2v2 or 6v6. The Black Ops 6 multiplayer will also have a new Prestige system which promises to brings even more rewards than ever, apparently.
Of course, no Black Ops game will be complete with its traditional Zombies mode and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be no exception.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on PC, PlayStation and Xbox on 25 October 2025. We can't wait to see some of its multiplayer next.
