Is it just me, or does it feel like we’re getting non-stop releases and announcements for Star Wars shows lately? Not that I’m complaining, of course, but oh lawd have we been well fed.
Well, just in case we were lacking any content, back in June, one Star Wars insider took to YouTube to share that, apparently, Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor protagonist Cal Kestis could be getting his own live-action TV series on Disney+, which is a super exciting concept. Cal’s original actor, Cameron Monaghan, would apparently be reprising his role for the series.
While you're here, be sure to take a look at the new trailer for Star Wars: Andor below.
“The rumour is that [Cameron Monaghan] actually signed on to play the character from Jedi: Fallen Order in a live-action series for Disney+,” insider Kristian Harloff said at the time. “There’s no production dates set, but my source tells me that this is happening.”

Now though, just to add to the speculation further, Monaghan himself has now responded to the rumours. In an interview with Screen Rant, he was asked for his thoughts on a potential live-action appearance, to which he laughed, and said: “Well of course there’s interest. That's about all I can say.”
Interesting. Obviously, we can’t take a definitive answer from this, but he’s certainly not shut the idea down completely, which, if we’re being optimistic, could bode well. It’s worth keeping in mind that the upcoming Jedi: Survivor will take place 10 years after Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, placing it conveniently in the same timeframe as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Just saying, that provides the perfect opportunity for things to be tied together, not to mention the fact that with Survivor set to release in 2023, a show releasing around the same time would be pretty perfect.
Until anything is actually announced though, as always, do take all this with a generous pinch of salt.
