A day just wouldn’t be whole without a healthy dose of Brendan Fraser content. I don’t know if he realises it, but Brendan Fraser is nestled deep in the hearts of a ton of people on the internet. The 90s heartthrob is now just an all around nice, wholesome guy - and we love him for it.
In the past couple of weeks, Fraser has received multiple standing ovations for his upcoming role in The Whale - many of which have reduced the actor to tears. Our guy is likely to be hot in demand in Hollywood if the awards buzz surrounding The Whale is to be believed but amidst this press attention, Fraser has issued an apology for something that happened on the set of George Of The Jungle.
If you want another wholesome Brendan Fraser moment, take a look at the actor’s response to a fan question during a recent Q&A.
As reported by SFGate (Via GameSpot), Fraser recently appeared at San Francisco’s Mill Valley Film Festival and used the opportunity to apologise for a blunder that took place during the filming of George Of The Jungle. Fraser’s character was tasked with saving someone who’s parachute had become tangled on the Golden Gate Bridge, although the Bay Bridge was used for filming.

Fraser explained, “I have, almost, an apology to make. When we were doing George Of The Jungle, George goes to rescue a parachutist tangled in the Golden Gate Bridge. That means Disney put a mannequin hanging by a parachute from the uprights. It brought traffic to a standstill on either side of the bridge. My trailer was on the other side in a parking lot. I just remember watching the [bridge]. There's this dummy parachutist hanging from it."
This all sounds like your standard movie-making fare, until it accidentally became a major news incident. Fraser continued, “I had the TV on, and Oprah got interrupted because there was a special news report saying a parachute is dangling on the bridge and I'm going, wait a minute, I'm looking at the helicopters on TV. Someone didn't pull a permit. Somebody's going to get in trouble with the mayor's office. So I can only apologise for that." There you have it. It was just a dummy folks.
