As with any long-running game franchise, we all have our own opinions on which entry is the greatest. That is certainly the case for Far Cry with the best one recently making an unexpected comeback.
Starting way back in 2004, Ubisoft’s Far Cry franchise has gone on to become one of the most talked about in the last 20 years. Spanning across 13 entries and showing no signs of stopping, the FPS titles have certainly made their mark.

However, which one is the best? Many would argue that title belongs to quite the underdog - Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Released back in 2013 as a standalone expansion to Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon is a “kick-ass cyber shooter” set in an 80s version of the future.
“The year is 2007 and you are Sergeant Rex Colt, a Mark IV Cyber Commando. Your mission: get the girl, kill the baddies, and save the world,’ reads the Steam synopsis.
As quite a different style to the rest of the Far Cry series, Blood Dragon managed to make its mark and fans can now pre-order a special collector’s edition right now.
Available between 19 April and 19 May, the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon collector’s edition is available for Xbox, PlayStation and PC and includes items such as a USB cassette soundtrack, a VHS tape featuring promos and trailers, a Colonel Sloan and Sergeant Rex Colt action figure, a sticker sheet, booklet and art pamphlet.

Not only that but unlike most collector’s editions these days, it will also include a physical copy of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
If you pre-order now, you will get these goodies to your door sometime in September so it is a long, but seemingly worthwhile wait. However, be aware that this edition will set you back $124.99.
