According to EA’s CEO, the freshly announced Battlefield Studios is going to adopt a bold, newfangled strategy for the next entry in the franchise; they’re actually gonna finish this one before they release it this time.
Thank you in advance to TweakTown's Derek Strickland for the source!
Incredible news: we’re getting a new Battlefield.

Even more incredible news: EA is planning to release a fully formed game at launch.
I think even the most die-hard, ride-or-die Battlefield fan would think it’s fair to say that the last couple of entries in the franchise had very messy launches - doubly so in the case of Battlefield 2042.
Battlefield Labs is the franchise's new testing programme.
But EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson has promised that this time, the publisher plans to follow through and complete the game before launch - even if they have to delay it beforehand.

"We have a FY26 launch window that the team is targeting. We believe the game will be great and ready at that time,” Wilson told investors during a recent earnings call.
“But if we got close to that timeframe and believed that this wasn't going to be a great window for us, then we would take a look at what an alternate window might be that would give us the appropriate time, energy, and player acquisition opportunity for this Battlefield to be all it needed to be."
Wow, what a novel concept - giving people who just paid £50 for your brand-new game an actual finished product.
Look you might think I’m being a little harsh on EA here, but we've been burned in the past. It's just hard to believe them.

Waffle to your investors all you like, because your bottom line is dependent on keeping them happy, but anyone with two brain cells to rub together will be remaining dubious until we see proof of a solid product.
