We’re all here because we love video games, but being a gamer can be an intense hobby. We turn on our consoles and suddenly find ourselves saving the world, or making life and death decisions amidst the apocalypse. The credits will eventually roll and I don’t know about you but I’ll just sit there contemplating the meaning of life.
Let me take you back to an altogether more laidback and wholesome time. The year is 2006. You get home from school, turn on your GameCube or PlayStation 2 and buckle up for a few hours of Barnyard fun. My biggest concern? Busting a few moves behind the mailman without him noticing. Sweet innocence.
Relive the good ol' days and take a look at our top 10 PlayStation 2 games of all time.
I don’t want to get your hopes up. Barnyard isn’t being remade yet … but it could be. Let me explain. Barnyard developers THQ Nordic have confirmed that whilst they’re not currently working on a Barnyard game, they have noticed just how strongly fans are clamouring for a reboot.
Advert
They took to Twitter to announce, “Alright, we are talking! Please note that this is no teaser or confirmation – we are currently NOT working on a Barnyard game. BUT your overwhelming response did not go unnoticed and was forwarded to the people responsible. Thank you all for your dedication and support!”
Attached to the tweet was an image of five THQ devs seemingly on a video call all using Barnyard inspired filters. Big chaos energy. You know what this means though? If you want a Barnyard reboot, make some noise and let the developers know and if you really need an immediate Barnyard fix, don’t forget there’s a movie and a TV show. Seriously, I did not realise the influence of this game but do with this information what you wish.
