It’s always cool to see production from behind the curtain whether it’s related to video games, movies, TV, comic books and more. And today, we can take an early look at Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was originally released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and featured two playable protagonists, the twin duo, Jacob and Evie Frye. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was also set in 1868 during the end of England’s Industrial Revolution.

For whatever reason, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is perhaps not looked upon as one of the most favourable entries in the Ubisoft series. Personally, I loved it and many fans would still agree, praising the underrated open world that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has to offer.

Early production gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has been shared by Reddit user Seatheowerouch via the Internet Archive. When Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was revealed it had the codename “Victory” and judging by its early teaser, it seemed to have a much darker, grittier tone than what featured in the full release, known as Syndicate.
Responding to the early production gameplay shared on Reddit, users have been thinking about what could have been. “Man, AC's Victory could have been such a cool game. I like Syndicate, but I feel like it somehow lacked the gritty and dark atmosphere you'd expect for that period in England,” exclaimed KvasirTheOld.

“From the leaks, it seemed like it was going to be way better than Syndicate,” claimed EpicChiguire. “I would kill for that dark Gothic London, it looks so much better and more atmospheric than what we got,” declared a very committed Out_Worlder.
The early production footage shared on Reddit also features what would eventually become Assassin’s Creed III. That footage features incomplete animations and textures, and Connor’s assassin’s outfit has not been fully coloured but I think the mostly white attire gives him a classic Assassin's Creed look.
As for what the future of the series holds, it is expected that the codenamed Assassin’s Creed Red, set in Feudal Japan will be released this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
