The playable characters from Assassin's Creed Shadows have been leaked in a now-delisted YouTube video.
A video from YouTuber j0nathan has shown off the characters in a new video, along with detailing elements of the plot, though the video itself is no longer available due to a copyright claim from developer Ubisoft.
While the video showing off the two characters is now delisted, with Ubisoft wanting to save the actual reveal for the full trailer, it looks like players will have two different characters to choose form. The first is Naoe, the Assassin who is seen in the only released promotional art for the game, and the second character seems to be Yasuke, who is reportedly based on the first recorded black samurai in Japan.

According to the leak, Yasuke's story will start with the character being a slave on a ship before that ship is invaded by pirates, killing everyone except for him. Yasuke is then found, heavily injured but alive, and is taken to heal in a temple in Japan.
The same video also contains information on the season pass for Assassin's Creed Shadows, with j0nathan claiming that the season pass will retail at $39.99 (£30), and will come with two separate story expansions for the game that retail separately at $24.99 each (£20). The title will also have microtransactions available in the form of an in-game currency called Helix, which is priced as follows:
- 500 Helix - $4.99 (£4)
- 1050 Helix - $9.99 (£8)
- 2300 Helix - $19.99 (£16)
- 4200 Helix - $34.99 (£28)
The game will be officially revealed with a new cinematic trailer later today at 5PM BST (12PM ET), with information on what to expect from the game and likely reveals of who the playable characters actually are, so make sure you keep an eye out for full details on what to expect from the game and when you'll be able to play it.
