Assassin's Creed publisher Ubisoft has confirmed the name for its next open-world RPG, and it's... well, it's pretty much exactly what we all thought it was going to be.
It's a heck of a time to be an Assassin's Creed fan, with various projects in the works at Ubisoft HQ. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is next in line, of course. Then we’ve got the new game set in Ancient China, an Assassin’s Creed set in Japan, and even one centred around witch trials that should be very interesting.
Take a look at Assassin's Creed Jade in action below!
Ubisoft has now officially confirmed the name of its next Assassin's Creed RPG, boldly explaining that Assassin's Creed Codename Jade has been renamed Assassin's Creed Jade, which most of us were already calling it anyway. Okay then Ubisoft. Cheers for that, I guess. This definitely means the Japan-set game is called Assassin's Creed Red, too, right?

Developed by Level Infinite, Assassin’s Creed Jade takes players back to 215 BCE during the Qin Dynasty China era. Despite being a mobile title, this adventure aims to provide the complete Assassin's Creed experience on the go. That means an open world to explore, lots of parkour, and slick assassinations.
“Explore the path of Xia in Assassin's Creed Codename Jade, set in the third century BC, during the time of one of the first unified dynasties in China,” reads the press release from Ubisoft. “An unprecedented era of trade and cultural exchange between East and West is just beginning, but with this comes new challenges and threats lurking in the shadows.
“From the Great Wall outside the empire's borders to the imperial capital of Xianyang, journey through a world filled with ancient history and hidden dangers. Defend against the Xiongnu and work to dismantle conspiracies, taking on greater responsibilities, and facing new challenges.”
Assassin's Creed Jade is expected to fully launch next year.
