Since being officially announced back in July 2021, reports reveal that Assassin’s Creed Infinity aims to be a different kind of project for Ubisoft which has allowed fans to let their imaginations run wild.
Assassin’s Creed Infinity is a “cross-studio, collaborative structure” that will work as a kind of “platform” or “hub” for the entire Assassin’s Creed franchise. It is an evolution of the series which will come together to form the center of all of the instalments, allowing players to interact differently with the individual titles. I’m still unsure what this means but it sounds interesting nonetheless.

One interesting piece of information was one shared by executive producer Marc-Alexis Côté who spoke to Eurogamer back in September 2022. He explained that Infinity could allow for crossovers of previous Assassin’s Creed titles when he said: “I want us to do more of, to crossover between our different games [...] I think we have such an engaged community that we should provide them with more free products and free experiences and Infinity is a perfect vessel for us to be able to do that.”

Regardless of what Assassin’s Creed Infinity may entail, Youtuber TeaserPlay has taken the concept and run with it. The Unreal Engine 5 wizard saw rumours that Infinity could take players to Iran and so they created a trailer showcase of what Assassin’s Creed may look like if it were to take place in Persia.
“In this video, we recreated historical monuments from Iran, including Persepolis, Cyrus the Great's tomb, Pasargad and Biston”, TeaserPlay wrote.
As you can imagine, the trailer looks stunning and gives us a sneak peek at what Assassin’s Creed Infinity could look like if Ubisoft based it in Iran in 650CE. Let us hope that it takes some inspiration from TeaserPlay!
There is no current release date for Assassin’s Creed Infinity but with Assassin’s Creed Mirage releasing just this October, it may be a while before we see it.
