It’s shaping up to be yet another exciting year for Assassin’s Creed fans. Whereas last year saw the franchise return to its stealth-based roots with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, this year will include the releases of Codename Red, Assassin’s Creed Jade, and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice - Apocalypse.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is the year’s biggest release. Set to be the final RPG entry in the franchise, the dual protagonist game will take players to Feudal Japan and star a female shinobi and a male samurai. Assassin’s Creed Jade is Ubisoft’s first foray for the franchise into mobile gaming, with playtests getting underway last year. The world of Assassin’s Creed extends beyond video games though, with Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice - Apocalypse, the latest tabletop expansion, set to land very soon.
Take a look at the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed Jade below.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice is the very popular cooperative board game from Triton Noir, with Apocalypse being the latest expansion. It’ll take players to the Khmer Empire, now modern-day Cambodia, in the 1500s. In the brand new story, players will pursue a renegade assassin known as Isabel.

Isabel is a pretty powerful target though. She’s able to manipulate the minds of others using the Apple of Eden, sending you on a cat and mouse chase through the Cambodian jungle, plagued by illusions and obstacles. The release will include new narrative paths and exploration cards, a fresh enemy type known as Stalkers, plus new elite guards called Vipers and Furies.
Vipers will wield poisoned katar daggers, while Furies are stealth-based infiltrators. There are additional new jungle-based threats too like venomous vipers. The project is being funded on Kickstarter and is open to late pledges now. While an exact release date is yet to be announced, the product lists its expected shipping date as March 2024, which isn’t very far away at all. Yet another thrilling Assassin’s Creed adventure for us to dive into.
