It’s been a long time coming, and it has taken a team of modders to get there, but Harry Potter fans can now finally explore the notorious prison of Azkaban.
Now that Hogwarts Legacy finally has official mod support for PC, teams of community creators are cooking up new content to expand your next adventure in the wizarding world.
Mod support is officially supported for PC players of Hogwarts Legacy
The new mod - available on CurseForge - will ship off your witch or wizard to Azkaban if you use any of the three unforgivable curses on others.

This means that if you brandish your wand and cast Avada Kedavra, Imperius, or Cruciatus, in front of a citizen, the ministry of magic will haul you off to prison.
Of course, Azkaban has been designed and built within the game, however there is no breaking out of your cell.
Players seem to be enjoying the new environment and are begging for a quest to be designed around breaking out of the prison and going on the run.
It’s a rather bare-bones experience at the moment - if you get caught you’re essentially sentenced to life imprisonment, as you can see in the YouTube showcase for the mod.

This could be a great mod for those playing a more ‘hardcore’ playthrough, seeing as casting any of those spells on citizens will effectively end your game.
It would be nice to see the mod expanded, allowing for exploration of the prison, seeing as we know that wizards can escape in the canon.
For now, you’ll just have to be happy with what we have here, which is a lovely little Easter egg for players who have long been fans of the Harry Potter world.
Perhaps something more substantial will emerge now that more modders are working on new content to be officially supported on PC.
