The weekend is fast approaching and if you are anything like me, you are already making plans for which game you are going to get stuck into.
However, if you are again much like me, then you will want to calm down on opening that virtual wallet and luckily Steam has us covered.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at what we can dive into this weekend.
First up is We Harvest Shadows, “a first person farming horror allegory” developed by David Wehle.
Players will take on the role of Garrett, a lonely recluse who has found his home on a farmstead after moving from the city.
As well as taking on the usual tasks needed to maintain a farm, Garrett will also have to battle with the horrors that seemingly stalk him in the shadows as soon as night falls.

Next is Altered Alma which is perfect for fans of Cyberpunk 2077.
This is a dating simulator with a twist as it also features the classic Metroidvania formula mixed with RPG elements.
With a slick pixel-art style animation and a gripping story, you will find yourself switching your time between your customisable ship and battling through the streets of a Neo Barcelona.

Those who want to lose the hours in a survival sim can check out Wild Planet.
After finding yourself shipwrecked on a mysterious island with your crew, you will need to build your own camp, hunt and craft in order to survive as well as find out the secrets the land has to offer.
Fans of Darkest Dungeon should check out Queen Slayer, a turn-based RPG set in a fascinating fantasy world.
It will be up to you to control a ragtag bunch of heroes, each with unique professions and skills, as you take down the powerful queens of the underworld.

From the creators of Until Dawn comes The Casting of Frank Stone, a horror game whose ending will all depend on your actions and choices.
Our very own Emma was lucky enough to review this one ahead of its release and gave it an impressive 8/10 rating.
Next is Project Solar, an open-world puzzle game where you take on the role of R.A.Y the robot.
After damaging his memory core, he must set off on an adventure to reclaim his memories and piece together what happened to him.

For those wanting to experience a heartwarming narrative this weekend, then Moon and Away is the perfect choice.
The poignant story-driven experience tells the story of a daughter who returns to her childhood home after receiving a letter from her estranged mother.
Another narrative adventure to enjoy is The Berlin Apartment which tells the story of one apartment over the course of a century.
Experience the lives and stories of all the inhabitants through the eyes of a handyman who has been tasked with working on the historical apartment.
We are all on a roll with the relaxing recommendations as Fayrehaven is next.
This single-player trading and travelling game is reminiscent of Dredge and tasks the player (and sailor) with trading goods and cargo for upgrades.
Last but not least is Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, a thrilling roguelike horde-survivor game set in the Dark Viking Underworld.
For fans of Hades, you will see yourself fight off waves of enemies all whilst receiving blessings from the Norse gods themselves.
