Now here’s something we never knew we needed, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess can now be played with friends in online multiplayer. Just the thought of it has us excited, though it’s worth noting it’s not as simple as booting up the game.
This multiplayer mode has been brought to us by a team of modders who are working with Gamecube emulation for PC. This means you’ll need to have an emulator installed and own a copy of the game. Of course, you’ll also need a gaming PC, too.
Zelda games seem to improve with every release, but many hold Breath of the Wild as their favourite
Who wouldn’t want to experience The Legend of Zelda with their friends? This mod will allow for up to 16 people to play and explore together. The mod also adds a chat box so you can talk to each other, as well as an enemy randomiser which has become popular over the years with speedrunners and challenge runners also.

This is a must-play for all Zelda fans and is a big leap in the world of emulation. Now, there is some bad news as the mod is currently only available in early access and in order to play, you need to subscribe to the creator’s Patreon. You can however bookmark the project and come back to it at a later date when it’s publicly available when it releases in the summer of 2024.
Twilight Princess holds a special place in the hearts of many as it was a departure from the tried and tested formula. It’s considered one of the best Zelda games, although that seems to change whenever a new one is released. The series always seems to be reinventing itself and if you missed this installment the first time around, you should absolutely check it out when you can. Perhaps save your first playthrough for a co-op session with some buddies.
