The Witcher: The Creeping Night officially announced by CD Projekt

Live the life of a Witcher

If you’ve ever dreamt about living the life of a Witcher, it will soon be your moment to shine in the new Creeping Night event announced by CD Projekt.

Originally released in 2015, when it comes to wonderfully crafted fantasy RPGs, it doesn't get much better than CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt starring series protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, as reflected by its Metacritic score of 92.

What’s more, if you wanted to play an even better version of The Witcher 3, in 2022, CD Projekt RED released its long-awaited new-gen update for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, for free.

The Witcher 3 is a game that players can return to and still feel just as immersed in the huge map of the Continent, as much as any previous playthrough. However, fans are now eagerly awaiting the release of The Witcher 4 as well as a full remake of the original game that was released in 2007 as a PC exclusive.

While we wait for the new games in The Witcher series to arrive, why not keep yourself busy by living the life of folk from the Continent thanks to the officially licensed LARP (live-action role-playing) event?

“Have you ever wondered what everyday life on the Continent looks like? Then we invite you to check out what LarpVenture has in store!,” tweets The Witcher account. "The Creeping Night is the first licensed LARP for the upcoming year.”

“Spend a weekend in an atmospheric village, listen to the bards’ songs, and uncover the villagers' secrets. You'll face various shades of fear throughout the LARP — an improvisational theatrical game where you don't need acting experience.”

The Creeping Night takes place from Thursday, 15 May to 18 May 2025 in the Fantasy Village, (Wioska Fantasy), Kuńkowce 167C, 37-700, Poland. The event doesn't come cheap with early bird prices at €440 with standard prices at €495.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. As for future releases in the series, no release dates have been announced at the time of writing.
