Order 66 is a pivotal event in the Star Wars canon, and fans may be shocked to learn just how dramatically it cut down the Jedi numbers.
In Star Wars lore, Order 66 was the purging of the Jedi Order that occurred during Revenge of the Sith.
It was instigated by Emperor Palpatine and his apprentice, Darth Vader, and saw most of the Jedi get killed while fighting back. Any Order 66 survivors went into hiding, living to fight another day.
Over the years, we’ve had stories about Jedi who survived the purge and went into hiding.

In the original trilogy, we only knew of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, but further stories have expanded on the other Order 66 survivors.
Which Jedi survived Order 66?
As collated by ComicBook, there are roughly at least 22 survivors of Order 66 that we know of. However, there are also probably some that have not been documented yet, and may be saved for future stories.
The full list of Order 66 survivors is as follows:
- Obi-Wan Kenobi
- Yoda
- Ahsoka Tano
- Kanan Jarrus
- Kelleran Beq
- Grogu
- Baylan Skoll
- Barriss Offee
- Quinlan Vos
- Reva Sevander
- Nari
- Kirak Infil’a
- Eeth Koth
- Jocasta Nu
- Ferren Barr
- Gungi
- Cal Kestis
- Cere Junda
- Trilla Suduri
- Bode Akuna
- Taron Malicos
- Eno Cordova
Obi-Wan Kenobi also reveals a few more, unnamed survivors of the Jedi purge. So the number is probably a bit higher than 22. Considering there were roughly 10,000 Jedi prior to Order 66 though, I’d say that’s still a massive loss for the Jedi order.

For me personally, I always found it less interesting that there were more survivors of the Jedi purge outside of Obi-Wan and Yoda. It also begged the question of where they all were when the Rebel Alliance was trying to defeat the Empire.
I guess it’s just more opportunities for Disney to tell further stories with these characters as they develop new Star Wars films and series.
