Iconic American sitcom, The Simpsons is losing one of its original voice cast members after working on the series for a whopping 35 years.
The Simpsons is one of the longest-running TV shows of all time after making its debut in December 1989 and with over 774 episodes in the bag with over 36 seasons (and counting). Yet, the sitcom is still going relatively strong today.

Millhouse made his first appearance in 1988’s ‘The Butterfinger Group’ when The Simpsons was a short episode series on the Fox network before becoming a fully-fledged product. His first official appearance in the proper series was in 1989 with ‘Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.’
“Thank you for 35 years of Milhouse and so many more, Pamela Hayden!” tweeted the official Twitter account of The Simpsons. “Watch her final performance on The Simpsons this Sunday on Fox TV, next day on Hulu.” In the UK, The Simpsons airs on Disney Plus.

As well as being the voice of Millhouse, Pamela Hayden has also voiced supporting characters in The Simpsons, including Rod Flanders, Ralph Wiggum and Jimbo Jones to name a few.
Pamela Hayden’s last performance as Millhouse will be in the upcoming episode, ‘Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes’ on 24 November 2024.
After that, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening and co will have to find a new voice for Millhouse, though it wouldn't be surprising if a few replacement names aren't already under consideration.
You can catch episodes of The Simpsons on Disney Plus and Hulu right now.
