Marvel is currently celebrating 50 years of The Wolverine, with a new team-up miniseries starring Logan and Captain America.
Fifty years ago, Marvel introduced us to the legendary superhero Logan, aka The Wolverine - a brawny, hot-headed and talented X-Man who’s starred in multiple projects over the years, including comics, TV shows and films.

He quickly became a fan favourite, largely due to his deadly but stylish adamantium claws, berserker fighting style and rough around the edges personality.

Now, Marvel is officially celebrating his 50th birthday with several comic mini-series, where he meets old friends like Captain America, old enemies like his rival Sabretooth, and old frenemies like the Spirit of Vengeance himself, Ghost Rider.
It’s his friends that are the topic of today’s conversation though, as a new mini-series called Madripoor Nights will see the mutant team-up with the patriotic hero Captain America, and the sneaky super-spy Black Widow.
Logan actually has a long history with Captain America, as well as a deep respect for the super-soldier. The pair fought alongside each other during World War 2, and would work as partners on several different occasions afterwards, most notably when Wolverine briefly joined The Avengers.
In Madripoor Nights, written by Chris Claremont, the three heroes must work together to stop a secret super-weapon from falling into the wrong hands, and will feature several well-known Marvel villains.

Speaking about the mini-series, Claremont said: “Hard to believe, Bub, I've known Logan for 50 years! … And Natasha was in the first Marvel story I ever wrote. This trip back to Madripoor reveals hidden truths about two of my favourite characters on the adventure that shaped their lives."
Wolverine: Madripoor Nights will be a five-issue series, with the first issue going on sale 7 February 2024.
