Letterboxd is known for its harsh criticism and memes, and usually, whenever the community is in agreement on the quality of a movie, it’s seen as quite the badge of honour. So when the users say that Spider-Man: No Way Home is the best MCU movie of all time, it’s worth taking notice.
Whether you love the film for its multiversal story or the nostalgia of seeing well-loved actors coming back for a last hurrah, there’s no denying the charisma, charm, and enjoyment this movie dishes out.
Spider-Man: No Way Home remains a huge success for Marvel
With moments that easily rival the portal opening scene from Avengers: Endgame, No Way Home was a major hit for Marvel. All they had to do was deliver the goods by bringing back Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire and they instantly won over audiences. However, it could have easily been a high point in a terrible film, had the amazing writing not backed it all up.

No Way Home ended up delivering on every point, garnering positive reviews across the board.
This number one ranking comes as a Reddit user browsed Letterboxd, looking at each average score, and listing them out on the message board. If you’re wondering, Infinity War came in second, with Endgame taking the third place spot. Of course, the subreddit users aren’t in agreement, but it’s no wonder as the enjoyment is so subjective, then you can add general preferences over particular superheroes.
The powerhouse of No Way Home is undeniable though. It managed to pull together a story that did justice to both Spider-Man and Peter Parker, all while taking the audience on a joyride through the history of the franchise. Sure, the nostalgia helped, but really, most superhero products farm nostalgia because these characters are so old and so iconic. Let’s hope Marvel can begin to recapture that magic as soon as possible.
