While official announcements are in short supply, leaks have helped fans identify the title of Spider-Man 4.
Rumours that the title has leaked have happened before, as too has speculation surrounding the plot of the upcoming film.
But now we appear to have solid evidence of what the title is – or should we say, what the working title is.

The next Spider-Man film currently has the codename Blue Oasis.
What else is happening to the Marvel heroes we adore?
Markedly different to the previously alleged title leak of Brand New Day, this title feels much more vague, and perhaps more solemn.

After the events of No Way Home, Peter Parker is having to live in a world that doesn’t remember who he really is.
Although that has some obvious benefits, it also means that loneliness will likely be a theme in the next film.
What is more, if the leaked title theory that’s gaining traction is to be believed, then there’s a heartbreaking meaning behind the name.
Prior to Spider-Man 4, or should we say Blue Oasis, Avengers: Doomsday is when we’re most likely to next see the Marvel superhero again.

Given the name of the film alone, it’s not going to be a walk in the park for anyone involved.
If a scene we all suspect will happen between Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom and Tom Holland’s Spidey, then Peter is going to be suffering.
Poor guy.
Be it merely a placeholder or a codename that hints at more, Blue Oasis already has fans theorising what it means.

Sadly, we still have just under two years to go before we find out, assuming that the rumour that it’ll be release in June 2026 is true.
Whatever Peter is about to get himself into, it doesn’t sound fun, nor particularly joyous. Might we see a moodier depiction of the teenager?
Probably not as “edgy” as Tobey Maguire’s Spidey in Spider-Man 3, but you never know.
Either way, Peter’s going to be feeling pretty blue.
