Before you’re consumed by panic, no, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has not befallen any harm.
Marvel Comics’ Spidey though? Well, it’s not looking good.
If ever you’re looking for a Marvel fix outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I highly urge you to dive into the world of comics.

After all, it’s where it all began for the company - and with services like Marvel Unlimited, it’s easier than ever to access a wide array of thrilling titles.
Thrilling is certainly an apt word for the next jam-packed issue of Amazing Spider-Man #61.
Slated to launch next month, a new trailer for the issue has been released teasing something that, fair to say, we’re all shocked to hear: “Spider-Man will die”.
ICYMI: The MCU has dropped the first trailer for Thunderbolts*. Take a look below.

As such, this isn’t exactly the first time Spidey has perished, but it does sound as if it’ll be one of the character’s most brutal downfalls.

This is where Spidey comes in.
The web-slinger will fulfil the role and it’ll see him come face-to-face with Doctor Doom where he’ll “die over and over again”.
It’s a journey that’ll send Spidey into the afterlife and as brutal as this looks for our favourite friendly neighbourhood hero, I cannot overstate how excited I am to dive into this comic.
I might be alone though as most fans are simply concerned.
