Moon Knight's MCU return has Marvel fans hyped

More Oscar Isaac is always a good thing in my book

The Multiverse Saga has undoubtedly taken a few missteps which it’s now in the midst of rectifying, but so too does it have its strengths.

Many incredible new characters have been introduced during The Multiverse Saga, across the worlds of both film and TV.

If you ask me, Moon Knight is one of the most entertaining TV series to premiere to date and yet, Oscar Isaac’s titular hero has been somewhat left to dwindle.

Moon Knight performed well with both critics and viewers, garnering a Tomatometer rating of 86% and a Popcornmeter rating of 89%.

I can’t help but feel though that its viewership perhaps suffered a tad due to the superhero fatigue that set in as The Multiverse Saga got underway.

With that now easing, I’ve been hoping that Marvel is ready to announce what’s next for these characters - Ms. Marvel and Shang-Chi being two similar examples.

Well, rumour has it that two years after Moon Knight debuted, a second season may soon be entering development.

ICYMI: The first trailer for Thunderbolts* has now landed.

In a Q&A with The Cosmic Circus, supposed insider Alex Perez claimed that writers had finally come up with an idea for a second season.

“There is an idea they have that’s really exciting. And I will comment on it eventually. But yes, Moon Knight will return,” he said, which doesn’t give an awful lot away.

If the idea has only just come about, it’s going to be a long while until a second season actually hits our TV screens.

I’m not the first to say it, but I do hate that the streaming era has normalised us waiting two to four years between TV series seasons.

Regardless of the long road of waiting that lies ahead, fans are hyped by this tidbit of news.

“Great first season. I’m excited for what’s next for Moon Knight,” wrote one fan.

“God, I hope this is real. I loved the first season,” added another.

Moon Knight is too good of a character to waste, especially when portrayed by Oscar Isaac.

Let’s hope for some positive official news soon.
