Marvel Studios and Disney have a lot planned for the future of the MCU, and particularly the introduction of the X-Men.
We heard recently that Marvel has cancelled a few projects destined for Disney+ and now news of an X-Men TV show might give us an idea why.
If you haven't seen X-Men '97, you need to rectify that now
Plans for a Nova TV show, Strange Academy, and Terror Inc. have all been scrapped, but a leak points to a shift in focus with the mutants about to enter the MCU.

During this week’s episode of The Hot Mic, news was discussed that instead of Strange Academy, we could be getting an X-Men adventure in the school of Xavier.
Academy X, which could very well be the title of the project, will show us another side of schooling for younger members of the X-Men.
The comic series the show is inspired by follows lesser known mutants, but of course, that doesn’t mean Marvel and Disney won’t drop in some more familiar heroes.
As we near the end of the multiverse saga and prepare to meet the mutants, it’s no surprise that they will become a leading feature for the MCU.

Fans have been eager to see Marvel finally get their hands on the mutant heroes since the merger and purchase of 20th Century Fox.
Disney can’t legally use them in live-action projects until 2027, but the plans will start coming together now, ready for the unveiling in the coming years.
There’s no news on whether this will be another animated project, like X-Men '97, which has seen a lot of success on Disney+.
I’m sure that the next couple of years will see some cameos, lots of casting news, and more details on writers and directors who will helm the X-Men films and shows.

Perhaps Academy X will lead the charge in setting up the new team.
