The MCU Spider-Man will return to the big-sceen sometime in 2025 with the release of Spider-Man 4, though wallcrawler fans have something else to look forward to before then.
It’s none other than Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, an upcoming animated Disney+ series exploring more of the multiverse with a Peter Parker who’s only just started his journey as a superhero.
Elsewhere in the Spider-Man universe, Tom Hardy is suiting up for his final dance with Venom, check out the trailer below
I won’t lie, I’m quite picky about my Spider-Man TV shows, as in it’s either Spectacular Spider-Man or nothing, though Charlie Cox is returning as Daredevil in this series so it definitely has my attention.

For those who simply can’t wait to see this new iteration of Spidey though, you’ll be glad to hear a prequel is on the way which should set up a few of its key players and plot points, after all they can only fit so much content into the episodes themselves.
The prequel comic was recently announced with gorgeous art work harkening back to Spider-Man’s original comic run, with the hero sporting a homemade costume but teasing the classic red and blue suit in the background.
When the TV series airs it won’t be Tom Holland in the lead role, it’ll instead be Hudson Thames who fans may remember from Marvel’s What If?.. series.
In other news Spider-Man 4 has officially announced its director, inspiring hope that it’ll be the grounded storyline MCU fans have been waiting for.
