Marvel’s cinematic universe is a multifaceted beast, one that doesn’t always gets its storytelling right.

You might be tired of seeing the phrase “the MCU as we know it is ending”, but it’s the truth of the matter regardless of how much you dislike us saying it.
This ending is most notable in the leaked plans for the “Mutant Saga”.

Luckily for X-Men fans, this is due to change.
According to industry insider @MyTimeToShineH, as per ComicBook, The Fantastic Four and mutants will exist in the same universe.
What is more, the X-Men will have to deal with a villain other than Magneto, which is undoubtedly music to the fandom’s ears.
Even though Magneto is an iconic villain for a reason, Fox has been there and done that by making him the big bad. As such, something fresh is needed.

The same insider claims Mister Sinister will be the main villain now.
Also symbolising the end of the MCU as we know it is the surprising news that Avengers vs. X-Men will be the “next big Avengers film” and not Secret Wars or Doomsday.
Until Marvel confirms this itself, however, we must prepare for these claims to be untrue.
That said, with Marvel’s Kevin Feige speaking of the X-Men being “back”, it feels safe to assume that they will feature heavily in upcoming projects.

“Secret Wars really leads us into a new age of mutants and of the X-Men [...] We finally have the X-Men back,” Feige said.
